So in a cheerful announcement, I found out I got the new job I had applied for - I will be working M,W,F from 12-8 only. It is a slight increase in hours, but the job will be in outpatient infusion and should be, shall I say, a little less intense? I will be doing chemotherapy, blood, and other IV products for patients who come in for just the day. And no weekends!! And no staying up to 1 am only to have the kids wake me at 6. I also will work on the same floor as I always have, so I get to see all of my wonderful co workers. After a night were we were short two nurses and I was charge with five patients, it could not have come at a better time. Hopefully I like the change and am happy with jumping ship.

way to go! i think you'll like it a lot better..... you'll see the patients earlier in the death cycle...
