On friday Ariel, Elias, and I head up to Seattle so I could blow the gap gift certificate I had in my possession since Christmas, after that we went to Ikea - this is Elias at Trader Joe's on the way home. Considering how long the day was he was quite the shopping trooper
.
Today Ariel put our Ikea bookshelves together in our main living area...my poor little books have been stuck in the cold back room for so long...instead of watching the Oscars I just gazed at them all evening. Chester likes them too.

I was supposed to work today, but woke up with an eye infection and had to stay home (don't want to freak out the patients with my eyes swollen shut)...while I was hard at work finishing up a rough draft of my evil community assessment paper, Ariel was finishing this up in our front closet.....the games on the top are an ode to one of my favorite imaginary places ever - I absolutely love the board game closet in The Royal Tennenbaums - and now I have my own.

Ariel unearthed this game from his childhood...the box actually says "See box bottom for description of game".

Bookshelves and bamboo flooring?
I think your kids need to do a home school unit on "Our Nation's Capital" while Ariel builds stuff for my condo.
We're all happy at Trader Joe's - the yummy food, the pretty flowers, the low prices.
Probe, huh? My parents drove a Ford Probe back in the early 90s. It was an odd grey car that had a computer (which was a big deal back in the day).
Thank you, THANK YOU for posting juvenile double-entendres! It makes me feel a lot better about my myspace posts.
