This is Isaac's first snowboarding attempt. We all tried snowboarding at White Pass last weekend. Due to our respective athletic abilities, Ariel was flying down the mountain after the first half day, while I managed to make it most of the way down the bunny hill by the third. I definitely enjoyed it, although I didn't expect the hardest part of snowboarding would be standing up after you fall down. It is really hard, and I spent a lot of the third day sitting on the hill waiting to get the energy to try and stand up on the board again. Hopefully by my next attempt in a year I will retain some of what I learned, and maybe even gain a bit of upper body strength.
At home again this week, I find that spring is in the air...I am not sure if Phil saw his shadow or not, but I feel my winter apathy starting to fade away. Now all around me I see so much to get done - my garden is looking very weed choked, homeschooling projects fallen by the wayside, and as ever tedious papers that need to be completed!
In small snippets and updates, I had a job interview and will find out if I get the job next week (there were 3 applicants) and Ariel and I are watching videos of children from Thailand and Ethiopia that are available for adoption.

Are those videos available to add to my netflix queue?
It's snowing outside right now. I'm hoping for a snow day at work, but am not optimistic.
